Marie Julliard (née en 1987 à Clermont-Ferrand) est une artiste pluridisciplinaire basée en Auvergne. Elle développe une « photographie poétique », détournant les outils narratifs et documentaires pour en faire des médiums de l’intime. Aujourd’hui, elle explore des techniques expérimentales, transformant la matière et mixant les médias : photographie numérique et argentique, film Super 8, création sonore et pratiques plastiques.

Formée au journalisme à l’ESJ Paris et aux langues vivantes (anglais et arabe), elle a construit son parcours dans le reportage, la création audiovisuelle et la communication. Elle a notamment exercé en tant que webmaster à France Inter, vidéaste en agence, photographe en commande... Depuis 2006, son travail - notamment sur le flamenco - est exposé et projeté en France et à l’étranger.

En 2025, son court-métrage “17h10” a été sélectionné au Toronto Female Eye Film Festival dans la catégorie film expérimental. Suite à l’obtention d’une bourse, elle poursuit actuellement ses recherches au programme Experimental Photography Diploma de Barcelone.

Membre de l’Agence Hans Lucas depuis 2023, elle collabore avec la presse nationale et internationale, développant une œuvre à la croisée du documentaire et de l’expérimental. Profondément engagée, elle questionne notre regard et notre rapport au monde, entre dimensions sociétales, culturelles et environnementales.

Marie Julliard développe actuellement une recherche autour de la matérialité de l’image et de dispositifs immersifs. Ses projets en cours interrogent l’intime et la maladie, la mémoire et le territoire. Narko explore l’expérience hospitalière ; un travail consacré à ses grands-parents traite de la transmission. À Essaouira, DIV associe cyanotypes, sons marins et savoir-faire locaux, et s’inscrit, à l’instar du mouvement surréaliste, dans une réflexion sur le discernement, la déformation du réel et les glissements de la perception.

Marie Julliard (born in 1987 in Clermont-Ferrand) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Auvergne. She develops a form of “poetic photography,” repurposing narrative and documentary tools to transform them into mediums for the intimate. Today, she explores experimental techniques, transforming materials and blending media: digital and film photography, Super 8 film, sound design, and visual arts.

Trained in journalism at ESJ Paris and in modern languages (English and Arabic), she has built her career in reporting, audiovisual production, and communications. She has worked notably as a webmaster at France Inter, a videographer at an agency, and a commissioned photographer... Since 2006, her work—particularly on flamenco—has been exhibited and screened in France and abroad.

In 2025, her short film “17h10” (5:10 p.m) was selected for the Toronto Female Eye Film Festival in the experimental film category. After receiving a grant, she is currently continuing her studies in the Experimental Photography Diploma program in Barcelona. A member of the Agence Hans Lucas since 2023, she collaborates with national and international media, developing a body of work at the intersection of documentary and experimental film. Deeply committed, she questions our perspective and our relationship to the world, exploring societal, cultural, and environmental dimensions.

Marie Julliard is currently developing research on the materiality of the image and immersive installations. Her ongoing projects explore intimacy and illness, memory and territory. Narko explores the hospital experience; a work dedicated to her grandparents addresses the theme of transmission. In Essaouira, DIV combines cyanotypes, ocean sounds, and local craftsmanship, and, like the Surrealist movement, engages in a reflection on discernment, the distortion of reality, and shifts in perception.
