Après une formation technique et des collaborations avec des photographes reconnus, il a développé un style personnel qui allie rigueur documentaire et sensibilité artistique.Ses reportages sociaux ont été présentés lors de manifestations nationales et internationales et publiés dans des revues spécialisées, affirmant sa réputation d’auteur capable de raconter des histoires authentiques à travers l’image. Parallèlement, le portrait constitue un autre pilier de son travail : acteurs, artistes et professionnels choisissent Giacomini pour sa capacité à saisir les nuances émotionnelles et à offrir des portraits intenses et profondément humains.

En 2021, il a publié la collection de portraits Fenditure, et en 2024 il a réalisé le livre photographique Il fiume della luce, consacré à la ville de Varanasi et à sa relation spirituelle avec le fleuve Gange.
