Né en 1956 d'un père militaire français et d'une mère d'origine libano-marocaine à Casablanca, j'ai parcouru l'Afrique tout au long de mon enfance, au gré des affectations de mon père.
De retour en France à l'âge de 10 ans, j'intègre le Prytanée national militaire puis rejoint les unités parachutistes pendant 8 ans et effectue plusieurs opérations extérieures ; au Liban, Tchad et en Centrafrique, Djibouti.
Je découvre la photographie au contact des reporters d'images qui couvrent les differents conflits. Parmi eux, Yan Morvan de l'agence Sipa et Jacques Pavlovsky et Alain Keler de l'agence Sygma. De retour à la vie civile, je me consacre pleinement à la photographie et poursuit mon engagement en faveur des missions humanitaires avec Bernard Kouchner.
Je repars sur le front, armé cette fois-ci d'appareils photos. Du Liban au Kurdistan, de l'Afghanistan à la mer de Chine, 4 missions s'échelonnent de 1982 à 1987 je rapporte un témoignage oculaire du quotidien des équipes de médecins et infirmiers, combattants, soldats, victimes et blessés4. Des villes en décombres aux provinces reculées,je photographie tour à tour une opération dans les sous-sols d'un collège chrétien, l'entraînement des femmes moudjahidin du Komala, un hôpital de fortune installé dans le Wardak un camp dans les montagnes kurdes iraniennes, ou le sauvetage des boat-people.
En 1984, je rencontre Gökin Sipahioglu, le fondateur de l'agence Sipa Press qui l'engage comme photoreporter.
Pendant 12 ans, je parcours le monde pour couvrir en images les « news » des conflits internationaux pour l'agence française : Liban (1984 à 1986), Afghanistan (1984,1986), Kurdistan (1984), Surinam (1986), révolution en Roumanie (1989), Tchad (1984,86,87,90), guerre Iran-Irak (1985-1987), Liberia et Côte d'Ivoire (1990), guerre du Golfe (1991)8, Bosnie (1991 à 1996), Somalie (1992-1993), Rwanda (1994) et des reportages en Sierra Leone, Madagascar...
Blessé lors d'un reportage au Rwanda en 1994, je quitte peu de temps après l'agence Sipa, et devient photographe indépendant. Je collabore avec des revues françaises et étrangères et poursuit ses reportages à l'étranger : Jérusalem, Égypte, Kosovo, Cambodge, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Éthiopie, Togo, Zanzibar, Burkina Faso, Guyane, Afghanistan...
En 2014, je m'investis dans des ONG, photographie les missions sur le terrain, Haïti, Togo, Ghana et organise des ventes aux enchères et des expositions au profit d'associations.
Depuis 2014, je revisite l'ensemble de mes archives qui font l'objet d'exposition et publications ainsi que des acquisitions dans des musées tout en continuant ses travaux photographiques personnels.

Born in 1956 of a French military father and a mother of Moroccan-Lebanese origin in Casablanca, I traveled throughout Africa throughout my childhood, according to the assignments of my father.

From ruined cities to remote provinces, I take turns photographing an operation in the basements of a Christian college, the training of Mujahideen women from Komala, a makeshift hospital in the Wardak camp in the Iranian Kurdish mountains. , or the rescue of the boat-people.
In 1984, I met Gökin Sipahioglu, the founder of the Sipa Press agency, who hired him as a photojournalist.

Wounded during a report in Rwanda in 1994, I left shortly after the agency Sipa, and became an independent photographer. I collaborate with French and foreign magazines and continue reporting abroad: Jerusalem, Egypt, Kosovo, Cambodia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Ethiopia, Togo, Zanzibar, Burkina Faso, Guyana, Afghanistan ...
In 2014, I invest in NGOs, photograph field missions, Haiti, Togo, Ghana and organize auctions and exhibitions for the benefit of associations.
Since 2014, I revisit all of my archives which are the subject of exhibitions and publications as well as acquisitions in museums while continuing his personal photographic work.
