Depuis la fin des années 1990, j'ai toujours un appareil photo à portée de main.
En deux roues, en fourgon ou en avion, je traque les sujets sociaux et culturels qui m'interpellent.
On me dit un peu « foufou », la photographie me permet de garder les pieds sur terre. Mon appareil photo est un prétexte pour voir et comprendre le monde. De Mostar à Sivens, en passant par l'Inde et l'Afrique, j'ai transformé mon regard en témoignage. Muni de mes boitiers et de mon iPhone, j'aime travailler au long terme sur des sujets « humains » comme les SDF, AZF et la ZAD du Testet.
Diplômé de l'Ecole de journalisme de Toulouse (EJT) en 1998, j'ai collaboré avec différents supports, 20 Minutes, L'Humanité, La Gazette du Midi, Le Pélerin, La vie du Rail, et des agences, Andia, AP, Relax news au début de ma carrière.
Après avoir exercé comme photographe-reporter titulaire au bureau de 20 Minutes Toulouse de 2010 à 2015, je reprends le chemin du journalisme indépendant en y intégrant désormais le son, la vidéo et le montage.
Frédéric Scheiber est membre du studio hans lucas depuis 2015.

Since the late 1990s, I still have a camera at your fingertips. In two wheels, in a van or in an airplane, I track down the social and cultural subjects that call me. I am told a little "foufou", photography allows me to keep my feet on the ground. My camera is a pretext to see and understand the world. From Mostar to Sivens, passing through India and Africa, I turned my gaze into testimony. Equipped with my cameras and my iPhone, I like to work in the long term on "human" subjects like the SDF, AZF and the ZAD du Testet. I graduated from the Journalisme school of Toulouse (EJT) in 1998 and collaborated with various media, 20 Minutes, L'Humanité, La Gazette du Midi, Le Pélerin, Life of Rail, and agencies, Andia, AP , Relax news at the beginning of my career.
After practicing as a photographer-reporter holder at the 20 Minutes Toulouse office from 2010 to 2015, I take the path of independent journalism, integrating sound, video and editing.
Frédéric Scheiber has been a member of the hans lucas studio since 2015.
