Juste à côté de Notre-Dame du Rugby, un espace muséal prolonge la mémoire de l’ovalie landaise, française et mondial. Ce lieu rassemble près de 500 maillots historiques, des photographies, des trophées, des archives, des objets de joueurs et des souvenirs offerts au sanctuaire au fil des décennies. À travers cette collection hétéroclite et profondément humaine, le musée raconte autant l’histoire du rugby populaire que celle des grands clubs du Sud-Ouest. Plus qu’une simple accumulation d’objets, l’exposition témoigne de l’attachement affectif et culturel qu’entretient toute une région avec ce sport devenu élément d’identité collective.
Le lieu fonctionne comme une mémoire vivante : celle des villages, des troisièmes mi-temps, des générations de bénévoles et des figures disparues du rugby landais. Entre patrimoine sportif et récit intime, cette collection offre un prolongement naturel à la chapelle voisine, dans une atmosphère où se mêlent transmission, nostalgie et passion de l’ovalie.

Right next to Notre-Dame du Rugby, a museum space extends the memory of the Landes, French and world oval. This place brings together nearly 500 historical jerseys, photographs, trophies, archives, player objects and souvenirs offered to the sanctuary over the decades. Through this heterogeneous and deeply human collection, the museum tells as much the history of popular rugby as that of the great clubs of the South-West. More than just an accumulation of objects, the exhibition testifies to the emotional and cultural attachment that an entire region maintains with this sport that has become an element of collective identity.
The place works like a living memory: that of the villages, the third half, generations of volunteers and the missing figures of Landes rugby. Between sports heritage and intimate story, this collection offers a natural extension to the neighboring chapel, in an atmosphere where transmission, nostalgia and passion for the oval are mixed.
