Six collines (le mont Coudon, le mont Caume, le mont du Baou de Quatre Aures, le mont du Gros-Cerveau, le massif du Cap Sicié et le mont Faron), composées de calcaire, de pinède et de garrigue. La construction des premiers bâtiments de l’arsenal de Toulon remonte au XVIe siècle. Toulon est aujourd’hui le plus grand port militaire d’Europe et accueille le porte-avions Charles de Gaulle.

The first buildings of the Toulon arsenal were constructed in the 16th century. Today, Toulon is the largest military port in Europe and home to the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle.
