Still, there is a war!
In early April 2014, a war between pro-Russian separatists supported by Russia and the official army broke out in the Ukrainian Donbass region (eastern Ukraine). According to the High Commissioner of the United Nations for Human Rights, almost 6,000 people have been killed since the fighting began. Despite the Minsk agreements reached by the leaders of Germany, France, Ukraine and Russia in February 2015, the cease-fire is not fully respected. Fighting continues, especially in the trenches of Pisky, a village near Donetsk airport, and those of Shyrokyne a village at about ten kilometers from the city of Mariupol. While Ukrainian soldiers and volunteers battalions continue to fight on the front line, the Ukrainian population seems to take back its daily life, sometimes just a few kilometers from the trenches. Realized between May and July 2015, this serie runs through the lives of combatants and those of civilians, between denial and reality, there is still a war!
