Tacloban, from desaster to reconstruction
November 8 , 2013, Tacloban City in the central Philippines has been hit hardly by super Typhoon Haiyan locally called Super Typhoon Yolanda . Gusts over 315km/have been reached causing flooding and destruction throughout the Province of Leyte. According to the latest census of the Philippine government , there are far more than 5,500 victims and more than 1,600 missing, many of them children . Any building of Tacloban City has been spared and day after day the rescue teams continue to find bodies under the remains of buildings. However, three weeks after the Typhoon hit the Province of Leyte, citizens have strarted to rebuild their life. International organisations begin to hire local volunteers under the name of "cash for work" which consist on being paid to clean the streets of Tacloban. Restaurants and markets start to open their doors thanks to generators given by International Aid and road begin to get traffic again...
