L'USINE SIDÉRURGIQUE DE VÖLKLINGEN
Le complexe sidérurgique, qui couvre 6 hectares, surplombe la ville de Völklingen, dans la Sarre, en Allemagne. Il contient des installations relatives aux différents stades du processus de fabrication de la fonte jusqu'à la production du fer dans les hauts fourneaux. Construite en 1873, l'usine a définitivement fermé en 1986. Classée au patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco, c'est aujourd'hui un musée. Photos d'illustration prises en août 2025.
THE VÖLKLINGEN STEELWORKS
The steelworks complex, covering 6 hectares, overlooks the town of Völklingen in Saarland, Germany. It contains facilities relating to the various stages of the manufacturing process, from smelting to the production of iron in blast furnaces. Built in 1873, the factory closed permanently in 1986. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is now a museum. Illustrative photos taken in August 2025.
