At the call of a broad inter-union coalition, public sector workers staged a strike and demonstration on the eve of the presentation of an austerity budget to the Council of Ministers. Frustrated by yet another freeze on the index point, the mobilized workers are demanding wage increases and resources commensurate with the missions of public services.
