Dans un monde où les appartenances sont multiples et les expériences singulières, Nexus de l’adoration célèbre l’hétérogénéité en imaginant un culte nouveau qui se donnerait pour mission de chanter toutes les choses du monde, de la cigarette électronique à Dragon Ball Z, du tango argentin aux baleines à bosse. Le temps d’une cérémonie aux faux airs de comédie musicale, neuf officiantes et officiants entremêlent invocations absurdes et refrains pop, discours galvanisants et confidences troublantes, récits pince-sans-rire et chorégraphies RnB. En se jouant de la juxtaposition et de la collision d’éléments disparates, Nexus de l’adoration suscite une communauté pour un monde à venir, donnant à entendre, loin d’un idéal universel et homogène, un joyeux concert de différences et de dissonances.

In a world of multiple identities and unique experiences, Nexus of Worship celebrates heterogeneity by imagining a new cult whose mission is to sing about all things in the world, from e-cigarettes to Dragon Ball Z, from Argentine tango to humpback whales. During a ceremony with the feel of a musical, nine officiants intertwine absurd invocations and pop choruses, galvanizing speeches and unsettling confessions, deadpan narratives and R&B choreography. By playing with the juxtaposition and collision of disparate elements, Nexus of Worship fosters a community for a future world, offering, far from a universal and homogenous ideal, a joyful concert of differences and dissonances.
