La synagogue de la Ghriba est un lieu de culte juif situé sur l'île de Djerba en Tunisie. Considérée comme l'une des plus anciennes synagogues du monde, elle est également l'un des sites les plus importants pour la communauté juive en Tunisie. La Ghriba a une histoire riche et complexe. Selon la tradition, elle aurait été construite par des exilés juifs fuyant la destruction du Temple de Jérusalem en 586 av. J.-C. Depuis lors, elle a subi de nombreuses transformations et rénovations. Aujourd'hui, la Ghriba est un site de pèlerinage majeur pour les Juifs tunisiens et du monde entier. Chaque année, pendant la fête juive de Lag Ba'Omer, des milliers de personnes affluent vers la synagogue pour célébrer et prier. Bien que la Ghriba soit principalement un lieu de culte, elle est également une attraction touristique populaire. Les visiteurs peuvent admirer l'architecture et les décorations de la synagogue, qui témoignent de l'influence des différentes cultures qui ont régné sur l'île au fil des siècles.
En 1985 la synagogue est une première fois touchée par une attaque lorsqu'un soldat tunisien chargé de maintenir l'ordre ouvre le feu dans l'enceinte de la synagogue de la Ghriba et tue cinq personnes, dont quatre Juifs. Le 11 avril 2022, un attentat terroriste touche l'édifice, c'est un Franco-Tunisien de 25 ans lié au réseau terroriste Al-Qaïda qui perpètre au volant d'un camion-citerne un attentat meurtrier qui fait 21 victimes. En 2023, un membre de la garde nationale tunisienne ouvre le feu dans la synagogue, au moment du pèlerinage annuel, et fait quatre morts, dont deux autres gardes nationaux tunisiens et deux pèlerins. L'une des victimes est Français. Il est abattu par un membre des forces de l'ordre.

On 11 April 2022, a terrorist attack hit the building, it was a 25 year old French-Tunisian linked to the Al-Qaeda terrorist network who perpetrated a deadly attack at the wheel of a tanker truck that killed 21 people. In 2023, a member of the Tunisian National Guard opened fire in the synagogue at the time of the annual pilgrimage, killing four people, including two other Tunisian national guards and two pilgrims.
