Jean-Marie, 65 ans, partage son quotidien avec son epouse Nekonia, 44 ans, et leur fils Lalo, age de 11 mois, suivis pendant plusieurs semaines entre juillet et aout 2026 dans leur vie familiale, les trajets vers la creche et les moments ordinaires de soin a Paris, Ile-de-France, France, Aout 2026. Apres un parcours de procreation medicalement assistee de cinq ans commence en France puis poursuivi en Espagne car la loi francaise interdit la PMA lorsque le pere a plus de 60 ans, cette serie explore la paternite tardive a travers le corps, la fatigue, le regard des autres et la transmission, celle un homme qui devient pere a un age ou beaucoup deviennent grands-peres.
Time of being a father
Jean-Marie, 65, shares his daily life with his wife Nekonia, 44, and their 11-month-old son Lalo. They were followed for several weeks between July and August 2026 as they went about their family life, made trips to daycare, and went about their ordinary daily routines in Paris, Île-de-France, France, in August 2026. After a five-year journey through medically assisted reproduction that began in France and continued in Spain—since French law prohibits such procedures when the father is over 60—this series explores late fatherhood through the lens of the body, fatigue, the perceptions of others, and the passing down of a legacy—that of a man who becomes a father at an age when many are becoming grandfathers.
