Sur les toits, reprendre racine
À Aubervilliers, en Seine-Saint-Denis, CultiCime, projet porté par l’association Espaces, membre du mouvement Emmaüs, développe des activités d’agriculture urbaine dans une démarche d’insertion par l’écologie urbaine. Salariés en insertion et bénévoles cultivent et récoltent légumes et plantes aromatiques sur les toits de la ville.
La série accompagne cette production à travers les différentes étapes de son circuit : cueillette, pesée et préparation des récoltes, transport à vélo puis distribution auprès de structures et d’habitants du quartier. Elle documente un modèle où agriculture urbaine, circuit court et insertion sociale prennent place au cœur d’un territoire dense et en transformation.
From the Soil to the Neighborhood: The Journey of Urban Agriculture in Aubervilliers
In Aubervilliers, in Seine-Saint-Denis, CultiCime—a project led by the Espaces association, a member of the Emmaus movement—is developing urban agriculture activities as part of an initiative to promote social integration through urban ecology. Employees in reintegration programs and volunteers grow and harvest vegetables and herbs on the city’s rooftops.
The series follows this production process through its various stages: harvesting, weighing, and preparing the crops; transporting them by bicycle; and then distributing them to local organizations and residents. It documents a model in which urban agriculture, short supply chains, and social integration take center stage in a densely populated and rapidly changing neighborhood.
