Hand-fauteuil
Hand-chair
The Briançon handball club had the idea of setting up Hand-Chairs for people with reduced mobility, but not only. This sport is for everyone, valid or not, from 8 years old. A great initiative to create a link between the able-bodied and people with disabilities, whatever they may be. If the hand-chair is in its infancy in the Cité Vauban, it seduces the small dozen participants present that day like Laetitia from the pre-orientation and coordination center. For Bernard, a patient at the center, the hand-chair allowed him to rediscover the practice of a sport. A great pride. ?It's technical. It's not easy but I liked it. It allows you to make acquaintances, friends too why not? he adds. Because the objective is also indeed that. Sport should allow people to socialize while forgetting about their disability, stresses Annie Grand. She works at the pre-orientation and coordination centre, it was she who had the idea of the hand-chair.
