Bikepacking en itinérance
Les vacances d’été et le soleil arrivent, le temps de prendre la route pointe son nez. Et si les vacances étaient placées sous le signe de l’itinérance et de l'autonomie ? Ici, pas de plan prédéfini mais un voyage à vélo au gré du vent et de la météo. On parle alors de “bikepacking”, c’est-à-dire un voyage avec des vélos chargés de toutes les affaires pour être totalement autonome : rouler, boire, manger et dormir.
Avec le bikepacking, on s’éloigne des clichés prédéfinis des vacances à bronzer sur une plage. Ici, on prend des coups de soleil à rouler sous 42° à vélo en s'arrêtant manger par-ci par-là. Et pourtant, même si la tâche peut paraître difficile, elle offre un contact particulier à la nature et l’environnement qui offrirent de beaux paysages à qui voudra les chercher à la force des jambes.
Pour ce voyage, Caroline Klein et Tobias Canales s’aventurent en Occitanie en passant par Le Causse du Larzac et ses plaines perdues, le Cirque de Navacelles jusqu’à remonter jusqu’au sommet du Mont-Ventoux.
Travelling by bikepacking
The summer holidays and the sun are just around the corner, and it's time to hit the road. What if your holidays were all about roaming and independence? Here, there's no predefined plan, just a journey by bike as the wind and weather dictate. This is what we call ‘bikepacking’ travelling with bikes loaded with everything you need to be totally self-sufficient: riding, drinking, eating and sleeping.
With bikepacking, we're moving away from the predefined clichés of holidays spent sunbathing on the beach. Here, you get sunburned riding your bike in 42°C temperatures, stopping for a bite to eat here and there. And yet, even if the task may seem difficult, it offers a special contact with nature and the environment, offering beautiful landscapes to those who want to seek them out by sheer strength of leg.
For this trip, Caroline Klein and Tobias Canales venture into the Occitanie region, passing through the Causse du Larzac and its lost plains, the Cirque de Navacelles and up to the summit of Mont Ventoux.
