Elle a consisté en un nettoyage minutieux pour redonner de l'éclat au bronze, notamment par l'application d'un gel solvant spécifique permettant d'éliminer l'oxydation et les salissures sans disperser de produits dans l'environnement du jardin.Contexte : Cette statue est l'œuvre du sculpteur dijonnais Eugène Piron, réalisée à Rome en 1906. Elle trône dans le jardin de l'Arquebuse (jardin botanique) et est l'un des points d'intérêt patrimoniaux du site.
Le jardin lui-même et ses infrastructures (comme la passerelle) ont également connu diverses phases de modernisation ces dernières années, mais la statue spécifiquement a retrouvé sa jeunesse fin 2024.
