Venues des quatre coins du monde, elles ont tout laissé derrière eux pour trouver refuge en France. En attendant que leur sort ne soit scellé par les services de l'immigration, cinquante personnes sont hébergées dans le Centre d'accueil pour demandeurs d'asile (Cada) de Lagrasse, en Occitanie, dans le sud de la France. En plein coeur du village, le Cada est un petit bout d'ailleurs. Un territoire où le temps se dilate et l'espace se rétracte. Une tour de Babel où chacun tait son drame mais où tous partagent une attente ambigüe, teintée de crainte et d'espoir.

Coming from the four corners of the world, they have left everything behind to find refuge in France. While waiting for their fate to be sealed by the immigration services, fifty persons are housed in the Centre d'accueil pour demandeurs d'asile (Cada) in Lagrasse, in Occitanie, in the south of France. In the heart of the village, the Cada is a little piece of elsewhere. A territory where time dilates and space retracts. A Tower of Babel where everyone keeps their drama to themselves but where everyone shares an ambiguous expectation, tinged with fear and hope.
