Photographes, cadreurs, journalistes, techniciens. Beaucoup d’images produites.
Un long cheminement.

Behind the Images
We see the Pope. Rarely those who wait to photograph, interview, and comment.
Hours of waiting. Logistics. Pools. Assigned positions. Hundreds of kilos of equipment moved for a few seconds of passage. A well-oiled machine, built to absorb the unexpected. Coming back without the picture is not an option.
Photographers, camera operators, journalists, technicians. A great many images produced. Very few, in the end, published. The great flow.
There may now be only around 400 accredited photojournalists left in France. At the beginning of the 2000s, there were nearly 1,500.
With or without a press card, a press image, an editorial image, is a point of view. A long process. A very short moment in which to express it. A chain of decisions containing everything that came before the shutter was released.
That is what gives it its value.
And the bursts of laughter at the edges of the frame.
