GUINÉE: CONFIRMATION PAR LA COUR SUPRÊME DE LA VICTOIRE DE MAMADI DOUMBOUYA
Sans surprise, la Cour suprême de la République de Guinée a validé ce 4 janvier 2026 la victoire au premier tour de l'élection présidentielle pour un mandat de 7 ans, du général Mamadi Doumbouya avec plus de 86% des voix. Elle a précisé qu'un de ses principaux rivaux, Yéro Baldé du Frondeg, s'était désisté de son recours devant la Cour suprême. Les journalistes étaient invités à assister à la cérémonie devant un écran géant dans la cour, alors que quelques candidats malheureux, membres du gouvernement et des représentants du corps diplomatique ont pu assister dans la salle d'audience à la proclamation. Les forces spéciales, comme à l'accoutumée, ont sécurisé en masse l'événement.

On this 4 January 2026, without surprise, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Guinea validated the first-round victory in the presidential election for a 7-year term of General Mamadi Doumbouya with over 86% of the votes. It specified that one of his main rivals, Yéro Baldé of Frondeg, had withdrawn his appeal before the Supreme Court. Journalists were invited to attend the ceremony in front of a giant screen in the courtyard, while a few unsuccessful candidates, government members, and diplomatic corps representatives were able to attend the proclamation in the courtroom. The special forces, as usual, heavily secured the event.
