WELCOME IN TZIGANIE, EDITION 2025
A Seissan dans le Gers, s'est tenue la 18ème édition du festival de musiques balkaniques et tziganes "Welcome in Tziganie", accueillant 145 artistes de 10 pays différents et un village éphémère offrant une immersion dans la culture gitane grâce à un financement autonome à 85%, quelques sponsors et le soutien de près de 300 bénévoles. Florian Calvez est le créateur et l'organisateur de ce festival depuis 18 ans. Il raconte qu'il était passionné de musiques balkaniques lorsqu'il était étudiant et a eu l'idée de créer ce festival pour valider ses études en tourisme car à l'époque il avait "du mal à trouver des endroits où il y avait ce genre d'artistes, autour de ces cultures, les tziganes et des Balkans".
WELCOME IN TZIGANIE, 2025 EDITION
In Seissan, in the Gers region, the 18th edition of the "Welcome in Tziganie" festival of Balkan and Gypsy music was held, welcoming 145 artists from 10 different countries and featuring a pop-up village offering an immersive experience in Gypsy culture. The festival is 85% self-financed, with some sponsors and the support of nearly 300 volunteers. Florian Calvez has been the creator and organizer of this festival for 18 years. He explains that he was passionate about Balkan music when he was a student, and came up with the idea of creating this festival to validate his tourism studies, as at the time he "had trouble finding places where there were this kind of artists, around these cultures, the Gypsies and the Balkans."
