En France, comme chez nos voisins anglo-saxons, un engouement croissant est rapporté pour de nouvelles formes de spiritualité par des personnes en quête de sens et de reconnection à la nature. Pratique très ancienne originaire de Sibérie mais présente sur l'ensemble du globe, après un regain d'intérêt à la fin des années 60, le chamanisme connaît un nouvel essor dans les sociétés occidentales. Le néo-chamanisme, dans la mouvance new age, a trouvé en Bretagne, terre de croyances et de traditions celtiques, voire païennes, un terreau pour s?épanouir. Nos pas nous ont conduit dans l?Argoat, au centre du Morbihan, plus précisément à Moustoir-Ac.
Rencontre avec Donatienne et Fabien, chamans-thérapeutes installés dans le Morbihan en Bretagne. Entourés de leurs chats, chiens et juments, qui font partie intégrante de "leurs guides", ils organisent pour 6 personnes aux profils professionnels variés, rationnels et semblant ancrés dans une normalité sociale, un stage pendant quelques jours. L'objectif est de se replonger au temps de ses ancêtres préhistoriques et retrouver son "moi originel". Au cours de ces voyages chamaniques, qui prennent la forme d'états de conscience modifiée, ces personnes sont encouragées à accueillir ce qu'elles repoussent au fond d'elles-mêmes, leurs blessures les plus vives. Donatienne les écoute avec bienveillance. Elle appelle ses "guides" au son du tambour dont la fonction est aussi bien de guider que de "protéger". Fabien l'accompagne. Peu à peu, chaque stagiaire part dans une transe légère.

In France, like in Anglo-Saxon neighbor countries, a growing craze is being reported for new forms of spirituality by people in search of meaning and reconnection with nature. Shamanism is an ancient practice originating in Siberia but that can be found all over the world. As part of the New Age movement, neo-shamanism has found an ideal ground in French Brittany, a land of Celtic and even pagan beliefs and traditions.
My path took me to Moustoir-Ac, central Morbihan, French Brittany, a Celtic Land of legends where I met with Donatienne and Fabien, two shaman healers. Surrounded by their cats, dogs and mares, viewed as some of their "guides", they organise a course for 6 people over a few days with varied professional profiles, seemingly rational and anchored in a social normality. The aim is to travel back into the time of the prehistoric ancestors and to rediscover the "original being". During these shamanic journeys, which take the form of altered states of consciousness, people are encouraged to better accept themselves, what they repel in the heart of themselves, their most vivid wounds, in an attempt to enjoy serenity. Donatienne listens to them sympathetically. She calls her "guides" to the sound of the drum, whose function is both to guide and to "protect". Fabien accompanies her. Little by little, each trainee enters a slight trance-like state.
