Once presented as an experimental project, CIGÉO—declared to be in the public interest in 2023—is now taking very concrete shape in the daily lives of the territory and its residents. Nearly 300 expropriations have been initiated in recent months, enabling ANDRA to acquire land along a disused railway line that is set to be rehabilitated to serve the site.
