2800 personnes ont marché pacifiquement dans les rues d'Epannes en Deux-Sèvres, à l'appel du collectif Bassines Non Merci. Jean-Luc Mélenchon, leader du parti politique La France Insoumise, Yannick Jadot, leader du parti politique Europe Ecologie Les Verts, Philippe Poutou, leader du parti politique le Nouveau Parti Anticapitaliste et José Bové, figure altermondialiste se sont succédés au micro pour dénoncer les projets des mégabassines, menaces environnementales selon eux, le 11 octobre 2020.
