CHARLIE DALIN REMPORTE LE DIXIÈME VENDÉE GLOBE : AMBIANCE DU CHENAL LE 14/01/2025
Charlie Dalin est arrivé tellement rapidement qu'initialement, le village du Vendée Globe n'était pas prêt à ouvrir ses portes au public. Son arrivée, dans la lumière magique du levant a pu être facilement observée par le public massé devant le Prieuré Saint-Nicolas. Grâce au positionnement par l'agence Disobey d'un globe lumineux géant embarqué avec un saxophoniste sur un navire, matérialisant la ligne d'arrivée au loin, le franchissement a pu être vécu en direct. Malgré un froid polaire, la foule était présente dès 5H30 du matin, certaines personnes se positionnant stratégiquement sur le quai afin d'apercevoir de près l'imoca Macif Santé Prévoyance et son skipper victorieux lors de la traditionnelle remontée du chenal. En raison de la marée basse, il a fallu attendre 14H pour que le bateau du vainqueur puisse rejoindre le podium d'arrivée, acclamé par une multitude de personnes massées le long des quais et des pontons. Charlie Dalin a eu droit aux honneurs d'un feu d'artifice ainsi qu'à une multitude de bannières et de pancartes disséminées tout au long de sa remontée du chenal. Accompagné de ses proches, il a arboré sur le pont de nombreux fumigènes puis a pu débarquer triomphalement pour soulever et embrasser le trophée du Vendée Globe devant un parterre d'admirateurs.

Charlie Dalin arrived so quickly that initially, the Vendée Globe village was not ready to open its doors to the public. His arrival, in the magical light of the east, could easily be observed by the public gathered in front of the Saint-Nicolas Priory. Thanks to the positioning by the Disobey agency of a giant luminous globe on board with a saxophonist on a ship, materializing the finish line in the distance, the crossing could be experienced live. Despite the polar cold, the crowd was present from 5:30 a.m., with some people strategically positioning themselves on the quay in order to get a close look at the imoca Macif Santé Prévoyance and its victorious skipper during the traditional journey up the channel. Due to low tide, it was necessary to wait until 2 p.m. for the winner's boat to reach the finishing podium, cheered by a multitude of people gathered along the quays and pontoons. Charlie Dalin was treated to the honors of fireworks as well as a multitude of banners and signs scattered throughout his journey up the channel. Accompanied by his loved ones, he displayed numerous smoke bombs on the deck then was able to disembark triumphantly to lift and kiss the Vendée Globe trophy in front of an audience of admirers.
