Jerome Desigaud est l un des derniers luthiers de cougourdes du sud, il les cultive et les transforme dans son atelier en instruments de musique et œuvre a la preservation d un patrimoine musical fragile issu de la Vespa de Nice, clique carnavalesque nicoise aujourd hui disparue, celebre pour ses sonorites et instruments insolites.

Jerome Desigaud is one of the last gourd instrument makers in the south; he grows the gourds and transforms them into musical instruments in his workshop, working to preserve a fragile musical heritage stemming from the Vespa de Nice, a now-defunct Nice carnival troupe famous for its unique sounds and unusual instruments.
