Originaire de Pennsylvanie, sa carrière débute en 2004, à 14 ans, lorsqu'il rejoint le légendaire groupe anglais de rock-blues John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers pour une tournée en Europe du Nord. Il partage ensuite la scène avec des artistes tels que B.B. King, Gregg Allman et Johnny Winter. Lors de son concert au MIGS 2023 (Montreux Guitar Show), Eric Steckel a enchaîné un feu ininterrompu de riffs de guitare et de voix dans son nouveau style musical qu'il appelle Bluesmetal.

According to his biography, US guitarist and singer Eric Steckel has been playing and singing the blues for 23 years and has recorded 10 albums. He is 32 years old. Originally from Pennsylvania, his career began in 2004 at the age of 14 when he joined the legendary English rock-blues band John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers on a tour of Northern Europe. He went on to share the stage with the likes of B.B. King, Gregg Allman and Johnny Winter. In his concert at MIGS 2023 (Montreux Guitar Show), Eric Steckel performed with an uninterrupted, searing fire of guitar riffs and vocals in his new musical style, which he calls Bluesmetal.
