Cela semble être dans l'air du temps de prendre la route sous la forme d'un one-woman band, ou plutôt d'un no-man band, si possible celles mythiques sur les traces du blues du Mississipi. L'idée générale est de se produire en solo dans la rue et sur scène, en chantant et jouant de la guitare, de la batterie, parfois de l'harmonica, tous ensemble. Les instruments et la sono doivent être légers et portables pour le voyage. Nous avons entendu trois one-womand bands au Blues Rules Crissier Festival 2023, Rachel Ammons (US), Elli de Mon (IT) et Ghalia Volt (BE). Elles ont une forte personnalité avec une musique qui varie du blues au rock, au métal et à la country.

It seems to be in the air to hit the road in the form of a one-woman band - or rather a no-man band, those mythical ones that follow the trail of the Mississippi blues. The general idea is to perform solo on the streets and on stage, singing and playing guitar, drums, sometimes harmonica, all together. The instruments and sound system have to be light and portable for travel. We heard three one-woman bands at the Blues Rules Crissier Festival 2023, Rachel Ammons (US), Elli de Mon (IT) and Ghalia Volt (BE). They have strong personalities, with music ranging from blues to rock, metal and country.
