Réouverture du musée al-Batha des arts islamiques de Fes au Maroc
Le musée des arts islamiques de Fès a officiellement réouvert ses portes le 26 février 2025. Sa restauration s'inscrit dans le cadre d'un programme de réhabilitation des monuments historiques et de l'amélioration de l'offre culturelle au Maroc sous l'impulsion de Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI.
Installé dans un palais du XIXᵉ siècle, le musée héberge environ 700 pièces illustrant l’histoire et les arts de l’Islam au Maroc. Parmi les oeuvres exposées, on trouve notamment un minbar en bois sculpté du Xe siècle, des céramiques, des manuscrits rares et des objets d’art témoignant du raffinement des civilisations islamiques passées.
Reopening of the al-Batha museum of Islamic arts in Fes, Morocco
The Museum of Islamic Arts in Fez officially reopened on 26 February 2025. Its restoration is part of a programme to rehabilitate historical monuments and improve the cultural offer in Morocco under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Housed in a 19th-century palace, the museum houses about 700 pieces illustrating the history and arts of Islam in Morocco. Among the works on display are a wooden minbar carved from the 10th century, ceramics, rare manuscripts and art objects testifying to the refinement of past Islamic civilizations.
