Thaïlande : la tour Baiyoke à Bangkok célèbre les 340 ans d’amitié franco-thaïlandaise
Pour commémorer les 340 ans de la première mission diplomatique française au Siam en 1685 et anticiper le 170e anniversaire de l’établissement officiel des relations diplomatiques entre la France et la Thaïlande en 1856, un logo commémoratif a été projeté au sommet de la tour Baiyoke II, à Bangkok, le 14 juillet 2025, jour de la fête nationale française.
Visible de 6h00 à 22h00, cette projection rend hommage à l’amitié durable entre les deux pays. Elle incarne une histoire diplomatique et culturelle riche, ainsi qu’un engagement commun vers la coopération dans le monde contemporain.
Symbole de l’horizon bangkokois, la tour Baiyoke II s’est transformée en emblème lumineux de cette relation historique et respectueuse.

To commemorate 340 years since the first French diplomatic mission to Siam in 1685 and to anticipate the 170th anniversary of the official establishment of diplomatic relations between France and Thailand in 1856, a commemorative logo was projected on the top of Baiyoke Tower II in Bangkok on 14 July 2025, France’s national day.
The projection, which remained visible from 6:00 to 22:00, is a symbolic tribute to the enduring partnership between the two nations. It highlights not only a long history of diplomatic and cultural ties, but also a commitment to friendship and cooperation in the modern world.
As one of the tallest buildings in Thailand, Baiyoke Tower II became a glowing emblem of shared history and mutual respect—visible across the Ratchathewi district and beyond.
