Installée juste en bordure de l'ancienne base militaire américaine de Clark, dans le nord du pays, Angeles-City est aujourd'hui en déclin relatif. Les propriétaires des bars relancent pourtant leur activité et compensent la perte de la clientèle américaine en s'ouvrant aux nouveaux marchés. Pakistan, Russie etc. Environ quarante mille filles travaillent ici, via un business model impeccablement géré. Cette première série d'images plante le décor et donne la direction graphique du sujet. Il sera finalisé après un second voyage sur place.

“Welcome to Blow-Row” is an ongoing series about Angeles, a veritable Philippine red-light district with a well-established reputation. Located right on the edge of the former U.S. military base at Clark in the northern part of the country, Angeles City is now in relative decline. Bar owners, however, are reviving their businesses and compensating for the loss of American clientele by opening up to new markets—Pakistan, Russia, and others. Approximately forty thousand women work here, through a flawlessly managed business model. This initial series of images sets the scene and establishes the visual direction of the project. It will be finalized after a second trip to the location.
