Le Berstolari txapelketa Nagusia, le championnat général d'improvisation versifiée du Pays Basque s'est déroulé de septembre à décembre 2022.
L'improvisation chantée et versifiée est une partie intégrante de la culture basque, l'un des piliers de sa littérature orale. Ces joutes consistent à versifier spontanément sur un thème imposé en respectant rythme et mélodie.
Cette série photographique est tirée d'une commande de l'Institut Culturel Basque concernant les 3 étapes du championnat général d'improvisation versifiée qui se sont déroulées en Iparralde, au Pays Basque « français ».

The Berstolari txapelketa Nagusia, the Basque Country's general versified improvisation championship, took place from September to December 2022.
Sung and versified improvisation is an integral part of Basque culture, one of the pillars of its oral literature. These battles consist of spontaneous versification on a set theme, respecting rhythm and melody.
This photographic series was commissioned by the Basque Cultural Institute for the 3 rounds of the general versified improvisation championship held in Iparralde, the 'French' part of the Basque Country.
