Manifestation contre autoroute Toulouse-Castres
Saix, France, 2023-04-22. A l'appel de différents collectifs, une manifestation contre le chantier de l'autoroute A69 Toulouse-Castres a rassemblé plusieurs milliers de personnes. Soutenu par l'Etat et la Région Occitanie, le projet initié il y a plus de trente ans est l'objet d'une opposition locale massive. Selon eux, l'autoroute serait un chantier anachronique, remplaçant 400 ha de terres agricoles en bitume et béton, et pour un trafic routier insuffisant, un temps gagné faible et un tarif exorbitant. Les opposants proposent une alternative avec l'aménagement de la route nationale N126 déjà existante. La manifestation s'est déroulée dans le calme et sans débordements; un dispositif de 800 gendarmes avait été déployé.

Saix, France, 2023-04-22. A demonstration against the construction of the A69 Toulouse-Castres motorway brought together several thousand people at the call of various groups. Supported by the State and the Occitanie Region, the project initiated more than thirty years ago is the object of massive local opposition. According to them, the motorway would be an anachronistic construction site, replacing 400 hectares of agricultural land with bitumen and concrete, and for insufficient road traffic, little time saved and an exorbitant price. The opponents propose an alternative with the development of the existing N126 national road. The demonstration took place in a calm atmosphere without any disturbances; 800 gendarmes were deployed.
