Caricatures des Mollahs dans Charlie Hebdo
France, Toulouse, 2023-01-05. Le journal satirique Charlie Hebdo, en soutien au soulevement du peuple iranien, a publié des caricatures des mollahs dans son edition du 4 janvier. Répondant à l'appel du journal, ce sont des caricaturistes du monde entier qui ont adressé plusieurs centaines de dessins à la rédaction, mettant notamment en scène le guide suprême Ali Khamenei; la rédaction avait été elle-même la cible des attentats islamistes du 7 janvier 2015. Le régime iranien a protesté contre ces publications, et fermé l'Institut Français de Recherche, le plus ancien centre d'études français en Iran.
Caricatures of the Mullahs in Charlie Hebdo
France, Toulouse, 2023-01-05. The satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo, in support of the Iranian people s uprising, published caricatures of the mullahs in its 4 January edition. Responding to the newspaper s call, cartoonists from all over the world sent several hundred drawings to the editorial office, featuring Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in particular; the editorial office had itself been the target of the Islamist attacks of 7 January 2015. The Iranian regime protested against these publications and closed the French Research Institute, the oldest French study centre in Iran.
