Environ 100000 personnes (30000 selon la Police) se sont rassemblés à Athenes pour le troisième anniversaire de l accident de train qui a causé la mort à 57 personnes. L accident causé par une collision frontale entre un train de passager et un train de marchandises qui roulaient en sens opposés sur la meme ligne a provoqué une grande explosion qui reste non élucidé à ce jour. Trois ans plus tard la Justice grecque n a incriminé que un contrôleur de Hellenic Trains et l enquête est toujours en cours. La majorité de grecs considère leur gouvernement coupable de couvrir un transport illégal de matériaux inflammables illicites et pour ne pas avoir modernisé les infrastructures de Hellenic Trains pour les rendre sures.
A rally to commemorate a train tragedy at Tempi, Greece
Approximately 100000 people (30000 according to the Police) gathered in Athens to mark the third anniversary of the train accident at Tempi where 57 people perished. The accident caused by a violent collision between a passenger and a cargo train coming on opposite directions on the same line provoked a huge explosion which is not elucidated until now. Three years later the Greek Justice has not pressed charges except to a Hellenic Train controller and the investigation is still ongoing. People here hold the Greek Government responsible for covering up an illegal trade of inflammable material and for not having modernized the Hellenic Train infrastructures to make them safe.
