6ème Marche des Visibilités à Saint Denis - La Réunion
La capitale réunionnaise accueillait sa 6ème marche des visibilités ce dimanche 17 mai 2026, la toute première marche en faveur de la communauté LGBTQIA+ ayant eu lieu en 2021 sur l'île.
À La Réunion, la communauté LGBTQIA+ attache depuis 2021 une importance particulière à l'appellation "marche des visibilités" (souvent appelée "Gay Pride", "Pride" ou marche des fiertés ailleurs dans le monde) et "mois des visibilités", afin d'insister tout d'abord sur le fait de "rendre visible" une communauté qui ne l'est pas encore assez sur le territoire.
Sixth Visibility March in St Denis, Reunion Island
The capital of Reunion Island hosted its 6th “March of Visibility” on Sunday, May 17, 2026; the very first march in support of the LGBTQIA+ community took place on the island in 2021.
In Réunion, the LGBTQIA+ community has, since 2021, placed particular importance on the term “Visibility March” (often called “Gay Pride,” “Pride,” or “Pride Parade” elsewhere in the world) and “Visibility Month,” in order to emphasize, first and foremost, the need to “make visible” a community that is not yet sufficiently visible in the region.
