SOUVENIRS JORDANIENS
JORDAN MEMORIES
Still under monarchical rule, Jordan is a country in the Middle East. It is surrounded by Syria, Iraq, Israel, the West Bank and Saudi Arabia. The Jordanian territory is bordered by the Dead Sea and the Red Sea.
This series was taken during a purely touristic trip, lasting about ten days. From Amman, in the north, to Aqaba, in the south, through a visit to Petra, a night under the stars in the desert of Wadi Rum or an effortless swim in the Dead Sea, the itinerary taken by the tourists is often very similar.
Among the encounters, we meet some young people at the shisha bar, we ask Tayseer, a guide in Wadi Rum with his brother Yasser, we chat with Mohammed, the muezzin of Dana, and we are interested in the unlikely life of Abdullah, a young Sudanese man who became a shepherd in the desert.
