INAUGURATION DE LA BOUTIQUE SHEIN AU BHV MARAIS
L ouverture controversee du premier magasin physique de SHEIN au BHV Marais a eu lieu le 5 novembre 2025 sous haute securite, avec des vehicules de police encerclant le batiment qui avait hisse le drapeau francais pour l occasion.
Jouant le jeu, le proprietaire du BHV Marais, Frederic Merlin, et son DG, Karl Stephane Cottendin, ont repondu aux questions de la presse avant de couper le ruban et de laisser entrer leurs clients. Il faut reconnaître que les deux dirigeants avaient particulierement soigne leur copie, en disposant un bouquet de fleurs fraiches sur chaque table de presentation de leurs produits et en ouvrant leur espace de vente comme une exposition, mettant en scene des mannequins articules qui accueillaient leur clients dans des positions dynamiques et joyeuses.
Sur le trottoir, la file d attente s allongeait jusqu au bout du batiment et certains clients attendaient depuis 10 heures du matin pour l ouverture annoncee a 13 heures. En effet, le BHV Marais offrait a ses clients le montant de leurs achats Shein en bons d achats BHV.
Global opening of the first SHEIN physical store at BHV Marais in Paris
The controversial opening of SHEIN's first physical store at BHV Marais took place on 5th of November, 2025 under heavy security, with police vehicles surrounding the building, which had raised the French flag for the occasion.
The owner of BHV Marais, Frederic Merlin, and his CEO, Karl Stephane Cottendin, graciously answered questions from the press before cutting the ribbon and letting customers in. It must be acknowledged that the two managers had taken particular care with their presentation, placing a bouquet of fresh flowers on each table displaying their products and opening their sales area like an exhibition, with articulated mannequins welcoming customers in dynamic and cheerful poses.
On the pavement, the queue stretched to the end of the building and some customers had been waiting since 10 a.m. for the 1 p.m. opening, as BHV Marais was offering its customers the amount of their Shein purchases in BHV vouchers.
