Interspot | skateboarding as a meeting place
Behind Interspot lies the Gap-based skate shop’s desire to create an event that’s different from traditional competitions. For this first edition, the idea is to bring together skaters from different towns across France for a day dedicated to skating, socialising and sharing experiences.
Gathered at the Gap skatepark, participants go from one session to the next, pulling off tricks in an atmosphere that leaves plenty of room for socialising. Best trick sessions punctuate the day, though competition is not the main focus. Amidst successes, falls, encouragement and time spent together, the skaters above all take the opportunity to skate with one another.
More than just a sporting event, Interspot aims to create a gathering for a skate scene that transcends the boundaries of individual towns. With less focus on tricks and more on sharing, the event places the community at the heart of this first edition.
