Beirut
Beirut
I arrived in Beirut more than two years after this new tragedy, in this country that has counted so many, the explosion of the port of Beirut.
Beirut, this city that I wanted to discover for so long, I was finally there.
I walked around for a long time, not looking for anything in particular, except to look at these urban landscapes that look like nothing else.
There is such a contrast, when our gaze slides in the same street, between an old building collapsing half next to a skyscraper worthy of Quatar: Ugly and beautiful, old and new, rich and poor... the gaze passes unceasingly from one to the other.
I was not looking for anything sensational, just to observe the poetry of the ordinary.
