Soirée de solidarité organisée par la CGT au parc des expositions du Comminge à Villeneuve-de Rivière, Haute-Garonne, le 21 mai 2026. Les images représentant des salariés, des riverains, des militants venus se rassembler et témoigner leur solidarité à la fermeture annoncée de l'usine Fibre Excellence de Saint Gaudens, véritable catastrophe pour ce bassin d'emploi mais aussi pour la France qui perd une de ses dernières usines de papeterie. Un plan de reprise est défendu par les institutions locales (mairies, conseil départemental, région occitanie) et les syndicats.

Solidarity rally organized by the CGT at the Comminge Exhibition Center in Villeneuve-de-Rivière, Haute-Garonne, on May 21, 2026. The images show employees, local residents, and activists who gathered to express their solidarity in response to the announced closure of the Fibre Excellence factory in Saint-Gaudens—a true disaster not only for this employment region but also for France, which is losing one of its last paper mills. A rescue plan is being championed by local institutions (city halls, the departmental council, and the Occitanie region) and the unions.
