Elamine est un joyeux luron; un photographe de toute une vie. Il a côtoyer les plus grands et à photographier avec tous types d’appareils entre l’argentique et le numérique et au travers du monde surtout entre la France et les Comores. Je l’appel le Dali des Comores, il raconte toute une histoire de vie en passant du coq à l’âne et traversant les temporalités. Il raconte ses histoires comme si on y était sans se soucier de savoir si on comprend tout ce qu’il dit. Je passe un petit bout d’après midi avec lui, il nous convie chez lui nous montrant toutes ces photos, nous racontant que le reste est dans les containers qui arrivent depuis la France. Elamine is a happy-go-lucky, lifelong photographer. He's rubbed shoulders with the greats and photographed with all kinds of cameras, from film to digital, all over the world, especially between France and the Comoros. I call him the Dali of the Comoros, and he tells a whole life story, moving from one story to another and crossing timeframes. He tells his stories as if you were there, without worrying whether you understand everything he says. I spend a short afternoon with him, and he invites us into his home to show us all his photos, telling us that the rest are in containers arriving from France. Elamine moves back to Moroni.
