La manifestation intersyndicale du 2 octobre à Paris avait pour thème principal l'opposition au projet de budget 2026 du gouvernement, dénoncé comme un projet d'austérité. Les revendications portaient notamment sur le retrait de ce budget, l’augmentation des salaires et des rémunérations, la création de postes supplémentaires, notamment dans les services publics (Éducation nationale, hôpitaux, etc.), le maintien d'une protection sociale de haut niveau, l'abandon du recul de l'âge légal de départ à la retraite à 64 ans.

The inter-union demonstration of October 2nd in Paris had as its principal theme the opposition to the government's 2026 budget bill, which was denounced as an austerity project.
