La procession aux flambeaux du 8 décembre
Ce 8 décembre 2025, des milliers de fidèles ont participé à la traditionnelle procession aux flambeaux de Lyon, à l’occasion de la fête en l’honneur de la Vierge Marie. La marche a débuté à la cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste et a remonté les ruelles du Vieux Lyon avant de rejoindre la Basilique de Fourvière. Cierges et lumignons à la main, les participants ont avancé dans une atmosphère de recueillement et de ferveur. Cette procession s’inscrit dans une tradition profondément ancrée dans l’histoire religieuse de la ville.
The procession of the torchlights of December 8
On December 8, 2025, thousands of worshippers took part in Lyon’s traditional torchlight procession on the occasion of the Feast in honnor of the Virgin Mary. The march began at Saint-Jean-Baptiste Cathedral and wound through the narrow streets of Vieux Lyon before reaching the Basilica of Fourvière. Holding candles and lumignons in their hands, participants moved forward in an atmosphere of reflection and devotion. This procession is part of a tradition deeply rooted in the religious history of the city.
