Cérémonie de réouverture de la Nécropole Nationale du Tata sénégalais
Ce vendredi 28 mars 2025, la ministre Patricia MIRALLES a présidée la cérémonie de réouverture de la Nécropole Nationale du Tata sénégalais à Chasselay.
Le 28 janvier 2025, des actes de vandalisme avaient été découverts dans l’enceinte du Tata sénégalais de Chasselay. Ces derniers avaient entrainés la fermeture au public de cette nécropole nationale placée depuis 1966 sous la responsabilité du ministère des Armées.
Edifiée après les combats de Chasselay lors desquels 48 tirailleurs furent exécutés par l’armée allemande en raison de leurs origines africaines, cette nécropole est l’un des monuments emblématiques de la mémoire des soldats africains venus pour participer aux copbatrs de la Seconde Guerre mondiale.
Reopening ceremony of the National Necropolis of the Senegalese Tata
On Friday March 28, 2025, Minister Patricia MIRALLES presided over the reopening ceremony of the National Necropolis of the Senegalese Tata in Chasselay.
On January 28, 2025, acts of vandalism were discovered in the grounds of the Senegalese Tata at Chasselay. This led to the closure to the public of this national necropolis, which has been under the responsibility of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces since 1966.
Built after the fighting at Chasselay, during which 48 riflemen were executed by the German army because of their African origins, this necropolis is one of the most emblematic monuments to the memory of African soldiers who came to fight in the Second World War.
