Nathalie et Mathieu, la recherche d'un changement sociétal

Dans une forêt au coeur du Périgord vert se trouve le projet familial de Mathieu et Nathalie, celui de vivre en autonomie avec leurs animaux sur un terrain en fermage de 3 hectares. Le couple vit dans une cabane en bois avec leurs trois enfants. En un an sur ce lieu, celui-ci est devenu rapidement autonome en énergies. Je passe une semaine fin juin avec elleux à partager leur quotidien, pleinement intégrée à toute la famille.
Mathieu et Nathalie se définissent comme féministes et anarchistes et sont à l’origine informaticien et éducatrice spécialisée. Iels n’ont aujourd’hui plus d’emploi rémunérateur, s’occupant à plein temps de leurs enfants. Ces deux individu.e.s sont passionné.e.s par l’être humain et le vivant en général et se questionnent profondément sur le fonctionnement du système dans lequel nous vivons. J’ai pu partager avec eux de longues discussions sur ces sujets, et leurs connaissances dans de nombreux domaines m’ont vraiment impressionnée. Iels sont habités par un profond désir de changement sociétal global écologiquement cohérent, et parallèlement à leur vie de famille, iels recherchent activement des solutions politiques collectives.

In a forest in the heart of the Périgord Vert region lies Mathieu and Nathalie's family project: to live independently with their animals on a 3-hectare plot of farmland. The couple live in a wooden hut with their three children. In the space of a year, the site has rapidly become self-sufficient in energy. I spent a week with them at the end of June 2020 sharing their daily life, fully integrated into the family.
Mathieu and Nathalie describe themselves as feminists and anarchists, and were originally computer scientists and specialist educators. They no longer have any gainful employment, and now look after their children full-time. I find the path they have travelled in this field admirable and the couple very inspiring. These two individuals are passionate about human beings and living things in general, and ask themselves profound questions about the way the system we live in works. I was able to share long discussions with them on these subjects, and their knowledge in many areas really impressed me. They are driven by a deep desire for ecologically coherent global societal change, and in parallel with their family life, they are actively seeking collective political solutions.
