Dans la nuit du lundi 17 janvier, un groupe d'action d'une dizaine de militants strasbourgeois de l'Union Populaire collent des affiches de leur mouvement annonçant la venue de leur candidat à l'élection presidentielle Jean-Luc Melenchon (La France Insoumise) deux jours plus tard au Palais de la Musique et des Congrès. Ils disent avoir reçu 30 000 flyers annonçant l'événement, ainsi que 8000 affiches et qu'ils auraient presque tout distribué.

In the evening of January 18th, a group of Pro-Popular Union (L'Union Populaire) militants in Strasbourg glue posters of their movement two days before Jean-Luc Mélenchon, La France Insoumise leader and their candidate to the presidential election, holds a meeting at the Palais de la Musique et des Congrès. This local action group says it has recieved 30 000 flyers for the meeting and 8000 posters and has distributed almost everything.
