Manifestation contre le projet Thermo-sur-Seine entre Ivry-sur-Seine et Vitry-sur-Seine
Le 31 mai 2026, plusieurs centaines d’habitants, militants écologistes et collectifs locaux se sont rassemblés devant l’école Dulcie September à Ivry-sur-Seine avant une marche vers Vitry-sur-Seine pour dénoncer le projet Thermo-sur-Seine prévu dans le quartier des Ardoines.
La mobilisation, portée notamment par les collectifs 3R, ACID et ALIC, s’est déroulée à proximité de l’incinérateur d’Ivry-Paris XIII, l’un des plus importants sites d’incinération de déchets en Europe. Depuis plusieurs années, ce site fait l’objet de controverses environnementales liées aux émissions industrielles, aux dioxines, aux PFAS, aux particules fines et à la présence de polluants persistants dans l’environnement. Plusieurs enquêtes journalistiques et données officielles ont alimenté les inquiétudes de riverains, de parents d’élèves et d’associations concernant la qualité de l’air et l’exposition des populations vivant à proximité du site.
Les opposants au projet Thermo-sur-Seine dénoncent l’implantation d’une nouvelle infrastructure de combustion dans un territoire déjà fortement industrialisé. Ils alertent sur les enjeux de santé publique, de justice environnementale et de qualité de l’air alors que le quartier des Ardoines fait actuellement l’objet d’importants projets d’aménagement dans le cadre du Grand Paris, avec l’arrivée de nouveaux logements, équipements publics et infrastructures de transport.
Protest against the Thermo-sur-Seine project between Ivry-sur-Seine and Vitry-sur-Seine
On May 31, 2026, several hundred residents, environmental activists and local collectives gathered in front of the Dulcie September school in Ivry-sur-Seine before marching towards Vitry-sur-Seine to oppose the Thermo-sur-Seine project planned in the Ardoines district.
The mobilization, notably supported by the collectives 3R, ACID and ALIC, took place near the Ivry-Paris XIII waste incinerator, one of the largest waste incineration facilities in Europe. For several years, the site has been at the center of environmental controversies related to industrial emissions, dioxins, PFAS, fine particulate matter and the presence of persistent pollutants in the environment. Investigative reports and official data have fueled concerns among local residents, parents and environmental organizations regarding air quality and the exposure of populations living near the facility.
Opponents of the Thermo-sur-Seine project denounce the construction of a new combustion-based energy facility in a territory already heavily impacted by industrial infrastructure. They raise concerns about public health, environmental justice and air quality at a time when the Ardoines district is undergoing major redevelopment as part of the Grand Paris project, including the construction of new housing, public facilities and transportation infrastructure.
