They are preparing for tomorrow's world.
While scientists are becoming increasingly alarmed about global warming, the Suite du Monde, a collective imbued with the codes of collapsology, is anticipating the collapse of the system by creating an autonomous "commune" in the north of the Dordogne. Halfway between the phalanstery and the hippie community, this evolving space called "La commune imaginée du Bandiat" is supposed to provide answers to current consumption needs in the event of a collapse. Its founder, Adrien Lafourcade, from Bordeaux, has already supervised the purchase of some ten hectares in three communes in the Périgord Vert region. Some of the plots already host vast communal vegetable gardens which, when the day comes, would constitute as many "zones of abundance" available to the members of La Commune imagined. In six months, 500 people have stayed on site and some of them have participated in alternative meetings such as those initiated by the collective of the Hameaux légers, some of whom have written a small word of thanks or encouragement on the walls of the Commune's HQ, often promising to return.
