Alain Rousset visite une exploitation laitière biologique en Charente
Ansac-sur-Vienne, 24 Novembre 2025 - Alain Rousset, président de la région Nouvelle-Aquitaine, visite la Ferme du Paupiquet, à Ansac-sur-Vienne.
L'exploitation agricole de Christophe Hervy compte 120 bovins, dont 55 vaches laitières, qui profitent des 90 hectares de prairies verdoyantes où elles pâturent toute l’année. Le cheptel de jersiaise y produit un lait particulièrement riche et de grande qualité, grâce notamment au travail de génotypage visant à optimiser le rendement fromager et la digestibilité.
Une partie importante de la production (65%) est transformée sur place en yaourt, 25% du lait est vendu à Biolait, le reste sert à l’alimentation des veaux.
Au total, près de 150 clients bénéficient de cette production locale : établissements scolaires, épiceries, magasins bio, entreprises, supermarchés et même l'armée.

Alain Rousset visits an organic dairy farm
Ansac-sur-Vienne, November 24, 2025 — Alain Rousset, President of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, paid an official visit to the Paupiquet Farm in Ansac-sur-Vienne.
The agricultural enterprise managed by Christophe Hervy comprises 120 head of cattle, including 55 dairy cows, which graze throughout the year on 90 hectares of verdant pastureland. The Jersey herd produces milk of exceptional quality and richness, thanks in part to genomic selection work designed to enhance cheese yield and improve digestibility.
A major share of production (65%) is processed on site into yogurt, while 25% of the milk is sold to Biolait. The remainder is used for feeding the farm’s calves.
In total, nearly 150 customers benefit from this locally produced output, including educational institutions, grocery stores, organic retailers, businesses, supermarkets, and even the armed forces.
